Every four years, athletes worldwide compete at the Olympic Games for Olympic medals and in hopes of bringing honor to their home countries. The Olympics pay tribute to the Greek gods and Olympians by upholding original Olympism values of peace, friendship, harmony, and unity for all through sport.
This year, the Olympics was hosted in Paris, France, with over 200 countries and 11,000 athletes in attendance. However, it wouldn’t be in true “Olympian” spirit if fashion and attire weren’t considered. Fashion allows athletes to represent their countries and bring part of home with them, and as a bonus, is aesthetically pleasing for viewers at home to appreciate!
So far several teams have shown beautiful outfits in both the opening ceremony and individual sports. It can be hard to keep up with all the different styles, so I put together my top 10 outfits, in no particular order, for viewers like me at home to see who may have missed them.
