As we progress deeper into December, Trader Joe’s is gradually putting their iconic festive snacks on the shelf. From Thanksgiving stuffing flavored potato chips–to Peppermint pretzels, people are stoked everywhere to get into TJ’s and try everything, so we’re going let you know which ones you should try or deny.
#1 – Dark Chocolate Covered Peppermint Joe Joe’s
With a switch between chocolate and peppermint in each bite, the chocolate covered peppermint Joe Joe’s are at the top of our must try list. There is a perfect balance between the two flavors, not overpowering each other. It tastes like a significantly better thin mint, with an oreo inside. Delish!

#2 – Shimmering Candy Cane Body Butter
With holiday themed Body Butters for every season, the candy cane is definitely up there. One of our staffers exclaimed that “It smells like the Tree Hut vanilla!” an extremely coveted self care product. We personally feel like it smells like strawberry peppermint, as it definitely has a winter feel. It smells perfect when it’s fully rubbed into your skin, and we think it’s worth buying because it’s something you could wear all year round.

#3 – Mini Peppermint Meringues
With its cloud-like texture–The Peppermint Meringues have a very light and airy effect. The flavor is soft, and it truly tastes like biting into a cloud of sugar. It’s less peppermint, and has more of a defined vanilla flavor. If I were to describe my experience, it tastes like a vanilla meringue if you took a lick of a candy cane right before.

#4 – Candy Cane Chocolate Covered Almonds
The Candy Cane Almonds are a perfect balance of chocolate and peppermint. Perfect for when you want to eat healthy, but still stay in the holiday spirit. We couldn’t really taste the almond, but it tastes exactly like peppermint bark, which is addicting. They taste good but we don’t think we would purchase it again.

#5 – Winter Wassail Punch
Tastes exactly like apple cider, except with cranberries! “It puts me in a winter mood,” said freshman Ronen Antebi. There was a clash of taste when reviewing this item as it depends on the person. If you’re into cider and holiday drinks, it’s definitely worth trying!
